It seems like a week does not go by without partypoker making some improvements or adding some innovations to its software as it attempts to reel in PokerStars from the number one spot for online poker traffic.

partypoker completely overhauled is mobile poker app on November 25th, adding new features and switching play to portrait mode, the latter designed to make it easier for player to play one-handed, which is how the vast majority of people use a mobile phone.

Players no longer have to turn their phone on its side to play on the partypoker mobile app thanks to the new portrait mode complete with better, more vibrant graphics, easy to reach and use buttons, and a completely new bet slider that is easy to control with an upwards swipe of a finger.

Other features include a vastly improved hand replayer, also in portrait orientation, all-in equity in Texas Hold’em games, and an easy to navigate SPINS lobby.

This first stage of the new partypoker mobile app rollout only applies to SPINS, partypoker’s jackpot sit & go tournaments. All the other partypoker games are still available in the app, but they do not have the new design or the portrait mode available. Next to receive the update, in early 2020, is fastforward, cash games and multi-table tournaments.

One of the new mobile app’s features allows players to throw items at their opponents, such as eggs and tomatoes; it is also possible to blow kisses at them. Throwing an object at an opponent costs one Diamond and the item thrown has its own unique animation and sounds.

While egging an opponent who has just won a pot from you is fun, you may want to save some Diamonds for another new feature called Rabbit.
